Photography duo Markus Klinko & Indrani have become notorious for producing iconic images.
Collaborating as a creative team since 1995, their fashion and celebrity images have created waves around the world in magazines, album covers and billboards.
French-Hungarian Markus Klinko was born in Switzerland, began playing the piano at the age of three, and spent his teens studying harp at the Paris National Conservatory.
He had an early illustrious career as a classical harp soloist, playing concerts around the world and releasing award-winning albums for EMI Classics.
In 1994, Klinko discovered a new passion and began a career in photography.
In a matter of weeks, he met Indrani. Half-Indian, half-English, Indrani Pal-Chaudhuri was born in Calcutta, and raised in India, England and Canada.
At the age of 14, she began traveling the world as a fashion model, working with the pick of the greatest photographers, while maintaining her studies of philosophy and meditation. In 2002, Klinko and Indrani were commissioned by David Bowie to create the imagery for his album Heathen.
The following year the duo’s photography for Beyonce Knowles’ Dangerously in Love album won numerous awards.
