Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language legible, readable, and appealing when displayed. The arrangement of type involves selecting typefaces, point size, line length, line-spacing (leading), letter-spacing (tracking), and adjusting the space within letters pairs (kerning).
Portrait photography features a person or group of people that displays the expression, personality, and mood of the subject. Like other types of portraiture, the focus of the photo is usually the person’s face, although the entire body and the background may be included.
The quality of a portrait photo relies on the photographer’s ability to take advantage of the subject’s pose and the light that is around him. The light, of course, doesn’t have to be natural.
So many photographers use artificial light that this has become nowadays a sine que non condition of photography.
